JOB TITLE:
Assembler

BUSINESS SEGMENT: Completion and Production Solutions

BUSINESS GROUP: Process & Flow Technologies

JOB SUMMARY
Performs product assembly and testing for machined parts, sub-assemblies and finished products, and performs other duties as assigned/requested.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Performs assembly of machine parts (all materials)
• Uses hand and pneumatic tools, assembles machined parts into complete assembly and/or sub-assembly
• May use hand grinders or other minor tools
• Troubleshoot, repair, and reassemble returned products from customer
• Mounts pneumatic and electrical actuator systems
• Performs assembly area support activities
• Ensures that sufficient supplies of fittings, tools, gauges, lubricant, etc., are available to perform the job
• Operates forklift, if required, moving assembled and component parts to and from work area to test rack, wash rack or paint booth
• Assists in palletizing stock and performs housekeeping in work area
• Assists in conducting final tests to assure operation of parts
• Notifies management of any non-conformities
• Assists in trouble shooting
• Other duties assigned by management

FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
• Works in an open machine shop environment requiring continuous wearing of personal safety equipment and observance of safety rules

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• One to three years related experience and/or training
• Equivalent combination of education and experience

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to read blueprints and/or technical manuals
• Ability to set up and assemble products as normally acquired through technical training or on the job training

• Standing 6 to 8 hours daily
• Walking 6 to 8 hours daily

• Repetitive Movement (shoveling/sweeping/fastening) 6 to 8 hours daily
• Lifting (weights up to 50 lbs.) regularly
• Push/Pull 6 to 8 hours daily
• Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties as required
• Ability to learn technical repair and assembly guidelines and procedures
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to read drawings, instructions or repair and assembly operations
